What Is MingWeave?

MingWeave is a platform for exploring traditional Chinese metaphysics and divination through dedicated, carefully scoped experiences. These traditions do not share one universal model: each has its own inputs, conventions, vocabulary, and limits. MingWeave keeps those differences visible instead of flattening them into a single promise.

BaZi is the first complete experience available today. It demonstrates the platform’s approach: translate a traditional method into a clear chart, show how the result was produced, and keep cultural interpretation separate from scientific proof or professional advice.

A clear place to begin

You do not need to master a large vocabulary before starting. Each available experience should introduce the question it can address, the information it needs, and the result it can honestly provide.

Methods before conclusions

Traditional systems can vary by school and convention. MingWeave names the method in use, keeps important choices beside the output, and explains why another implementation may reach a different result.

Privacy in the product

The current BaZi chart is calculated in your browser. Birth details are not added to the URL, saved to a MingWeave account, or stored in a MingWeave database during this experience.

Explore Chinese Metaphysics

Chinese metaphysics is an umbrella term for traditions that organize time, symbols, relationships, or place through their own rule systems. A birth-chart method is not interchangeable with a question-based or spatial method, so each deserves an experience built around the information it actually uses.

MingWeave treats that variety as structure, not as a menu of promises. Only an implemented experience appears as available. When another tradition is ready, it should explain its method, inputs, boundaries, and privacy behavior with the same care.

Different questions, different methods

Some traditions begin with a recorded moment, while others may begin with a question, a symbolic arrangement, or the relationship between a person and a place. Those starting points should not be forced into one generic form or result.

Context stays attached

A chart or symbol is easier to understand when its conventions are visible. MingWeave pairs the output with practical explanations, source-aware terminology, and clear limits rather than presenting a detached verdict.

Availability must be real

MingWeave does not turn possible future traditions into empty pages or pretend they are usable. A tradition appears as an active experience only after its product, method, content, and privacy behavior are implemented.

Start with BaZi

BaZi, also called Four Pillars, organizes a Gregorian birth record into Year, Month, Day, and Hour stem-and-branch pairs. MingWeave’s current calculator also shows the Day Master, Five Elements, Hidden Stems, Ten Gods, structural interactions, and Luck Pillars. If the birth time is unknown, it returns an honest partial chart instead of inventing an Hour Pillar.

The complete experience begins on the dedicated calculator page. There you can enter the supported birth details, review historical time-zone and solar-boundary handling, choose an approved Method Profile, and inspect a Calculation Trace beside the result. Calculation runs in your browser, and the source birth record is not placed in the page URL or a MingWeave database.

How MingWeave Works

Every available MingWeave experience follows a simple pattern: begin with the method’s real inputs, keep the calculation or mapping visible, and make room for context before interpretation.

  1. Choose an available experience

    Start with a tool that is fully implemented and clearly labeled. Today, that means BaZi. The homepage provides the overview; the dedicated tool page owns the complete interaction.

  2. Provide only what the method needs

    The BaZi experience asks for the supported birth details and calculation category, with an explicit path for unknown birth time. It does not ask for a name, account, email address, or personal biography.

  3. Follow the method from input to result

    Versioned rules and data turn the submitted record into chart structures in the browser. Important time standards, boundary choices, warnings, and calculation steps remain available for inspection instead of disappearing behind the final chart.

  4. Read the result with limits in view

    Guided explanations help you understand the traditional vocabulary and relationships shown in the chart. They are offered for cultural exploration and reflection, not as scientific certainty or medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.
